![]() ![]() There are tons and tons of choices, and you have to build a full team of 6 that synergizes together. The character building in WL 2 is very intimidating. WL 3 seems more promising because the learning curve is easier. Some people like Wasteland 2-3, and on paper it seems like they'd be really good if you like tactical RPGs, but I haven't been able to get into them yet. There's also Phoenix Point which has some good new ideas but isn't as good overall as XCOM or Gears. If you want some XCOM-like games, there's Gears Tactics, which is an awesome game and very easy to get into. Good soundtracks though, and good storytelling. I love these games, but I'll admit the production values on them are lower than something like Pillars or Divinity, and they're not very open. Either play them in order (Returns, Dragonfall, Hong Kong) or just play Dragonfall, which is usually considered the best. The sequel is on GP too and it isn’t as good, but still worth a playthrough if you like the first. Explore the deep ocean and shit your pants. Subnautica was a game I didn’t think I would like as much as I did. It’s confusing and difficult but absolutely charming and satisfying. Transferring your world state between 1 and 2, and then between 2 and 3 doesn’t have a huge impact on the world but it’s a neat feature. ![]() When you play 3, you can go online and create a world state based on the decisions you made in the first 2 games. I would just play them in order and ignore the neckbeards who tell you to skip 2. All 3 a bit different in terms of gameplay. The Dragon Age series might also be up your alley. I wasn’t incredibly impressed with the first game, but it was decent, if a bit too short. I’ve beaten the first game in the series (Shadowrun Returns) and am working on the second (Dragonfall). ![]() The Shadowrun series just dropped on GamePass a few days ago. Also, 3 is a direct sequel to 2 so it helps for the story. The first game didn’t age well is and is very different in terms of gameplay.ģ is better and less complicated, but 2 has a better story in my opinion. If you liked turn based RPGs, GamePass has quite a few right now.
